In Office Ultrasound

Total Foot and Ankle of Tampa Bay is proud to annouce the introduction of diagnostic ultrasound in both our Zephyrhills and Sun City Center offices. With this new diagnostic modality we will be able to image and evaluate bone and soft tissue conditions in our office non-invasively. Many foot and ankle conditions can only be recognized with this technology, which would be difficult if not impossible to appreciate with just x-rays or other in office procedures. This device has no contraindications and is safe for all ages. Ultrasound is much cheaper and less time consuming than other imaging studies such as a Computerized Tomography (CT) scan or Magnegtic Resonance Imaging (MRI). It is an excellent tool to assist in the diagnosis of many common foot and ankle disorders such as heel pain (plantar fasciitis), heel spurs, achilles tendon problems, neuromas, ganglions, sprains and strains, tendon and ligament tears, and stress fractures.
